The COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted the creative and cultural industries worldwide. According to UCLG (2020), by April of that year, 95% of countries partially closed their museums and in 128 countries all cultural activities were suspended, generating significant losses for institutions, artists and workers in the sector. Data analysis on this impact is crucial due to the cultural relevance and growth of metadata in legal debates. The research, validated by four experts, concluded that the crisis highlighted the need for a law that protects the health and rights of artists, including social security measures and pension schemes.
