Résumé

Les infrastructures routières constituent un facteur stratégique pour le développement économique et la compétitivité territoriale ; toutefois, leurs effets dépendent des caractéristiques institutionnelles et du contexte de mise en œuvre. Cet article visait à analyser les données scientifiques relatives à la relation entre les infrastructures routières urbaines et la compétitivité économique locale, en s'appuyant sur une revue de la littérature portant sur des études publiées entre 2020 et 2026. La recherche a pris la forme d'une revue narrative fondée sur des recherches dans les bases de données ScienceDirect, Scopus et SciELO. Quarante-cinq références ont été identifiées ; après application des critères d'inclusion, d'exclusion et d'éligibilité, 19 études ont été retenues pour l'analyse finale. Les résultats montrent que les infrastructures routières favorisent la connectivité territoriale, réduisent les coûts logistiques, améliorent l'accès aux marchés et stimulent la productivité ainsi que la compétitivité régionales. En outre, les données indiquent que les retombées économiques dépendent non seulement de la construction de nouvelles routes, mais aussi de la planification, de l'entretien et de l'efficacité des investissements publics. L'étude conclut à l'existence d'une relation positive entre les infrastructures routières et la compétitivité économique locale, et souligne que les politiques d'investissement routier devraient s'appuyer sur des critères de durabilité, d'intégration territoriale et de gestion efficace afin de générer des impacts économiques à long terme.
