The need to have questionnaires with a tendency to standardize on work performance administered by the management staff of a university is very important and urgent, because it influences human relations; also for lacking such an instrument, with the administrators being the personnel who mediate the personal and labor relations between the managers and the teaching staff.
This is a purposeful descriptive scope study, as it has the purpose of proposing an instrument to measure the work performance of administrative personnel who are working at a university. After reviewing various theories of job performance, the theory of Peiró and Prieto (1996) was shown to be referential, deducing the existence of 2 dimensions, validated by 3 experts approved with 97%; to measure the work performance of the university's administrative staff; to measure with 20 items using the Likert scale.
The information obtained from the questionnaire could be used to implement improvement actions that contribute to improving the performance of administrative staff and, consequently, the quality of the education they provide. These actions could include: Training in problem solving, Leadership development programs, Integration activities and strengthening of interpersonal relationships.
